VOLUNTEERING FOR FUTURE WORK PARTIES

Stockport Ramblers has a good working relationship with SMBC Rights of Way team, but as everyone is aware the Council’s resources are under severe pressure and anything we could do to help with path maintenance would no doubt be useful.

The Group wishes to determine if more members would be interested in forming a working party volunteer force to work (under the direction or alongside SMBC Rights of Way Team) on various projects on the footpath network. Projects would range from “very light" (such as litter picking, path inspections) to heavy (such as path clearing including digging or cutting brambles etc.).
